Changes in School Calendar:
• Teachers and students should note that all Eastern School District schools will have classes on Friday, November 6, 2009. The PD Day will be rescheduled for the spring.
• Students should note that the date of this year’s Christmas Dance has been moved ahead one week and changed to Friday, November 27.
Today’s Special in the Cafeteria: Make your own sub and a whole grain cookie, served with a small white milk for $4.30.
Happening Today:
• The Boy’s Washroom by the computer lab will be closed this morning only. It is to be used by the Child Care class. Please make these little ones feel welcomed in our school.
• The following students should see Ms. Nabuurs some time today: Rebecca Collings, Taylor Nicholson, Brandy Fraser, and Tara Acorn.
• Knitters will meet at 11:38 today.
• The Global Action Group will be holding a Bake Sale today at the top of the stairs at both breaks and noon. Come and support a worthy cause by buying some delicious desserts! Hope to see you there!
• The SADD Group will no longer be meeting today at 12:00 noon. Instead, we will be meeting tomorrow at noon.
• All members of the SAVE Group are asked to go to the Student Services area immediately following B Block.
• All members of the Student Council Dance Committee are reminded of your meeting after school today in Room W105.
• There will be a Yearbook Committee meeting today after school until 4:30. All members must attend!
• The Debate Club will not meet today after school as Mr. Lea is out of school today. The Club will meet later this week during a lunch break. Listen to the announcements for updates.
• Yearbook orders will be taken each day during lunch until next Friday, November 13. You must order and pay for your yearbook now and they will arrive in June. The cost is $40. NO extra yearbooks will be ordered.
• Any grads who would like your baby picture in the yearbook should pass it in to the office by Thursday. Make sure you have your name printed clearly on the back of the photo.
Athletic Department Notices:
• The Women’s Soccer Team will meet with Celeece at 12:00 noon to place Track Suit orders. Also, all jersies are to be returned immediately.
• Members of the Women’s Volleyball Team are asked to meet in the Student Lounge today at first break.
• The Red Rock Wrestling Club practices every Monday from 3:30 to 5:30 pm and on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. All club members are reminded that fees ($65) are due immediately.
All Student Council members are reminded to bring in your food on Thursday morning for the Veteran’s Tea Party.
Retake Orders: Students who would like to order pictures from your retakes should have the envelopes turned into the office by Monday, November 9.
