Former Montague Intermediate School students who compiled personal portfolios are advised that these portfolios have been dropped off here at MRHS for you. If you would like to retrieve your portfolio, please come to the office. We will hold these here until Thursday, October 29.

• Peer Helpers are reminded that there will be Block meetings today for all Peer Helpers.
• The printer in the Library is not working. We will make a further announcements if it becomes available today.
• All members of the Envirothon Team are asked to meet in Room M402 for a ten minute meeting at the beginning of lunch break. Discussion items include permission forms, competition preparation, and travel.
• Students and Teachers: SADD would like to invite you to join their “Take a Hand – Save a Life” Campaign by putting your signature on one of the many hand-prints on the upper main hallways. The SADD group encourages teachers to take a few minutes to take your classes to the hallway and by signing a hand-print, make a pledge to keep your friend safe. Special markers are available in the Library for participating classes. Thank you for your support!

Athletic Department Notices:
• Congratulations to Jolissa Hume on being selected for the Women’s “A” Soccer All Star Team.
• The Red Rock Wrestling Team practices tonight from 4:00 to 6:00 at Montague Consolidated.
• Students who are planning on travelling on the fan bus should make sure your have turned in your release forms and money. See Rebecca Collings in the student store at morning break.
• The following teams will have your pictures taken today for the yearbook: Women’s and Men’s Soccer and Women’s Field Hockey. Team members should go to the gym for the photos.
• The Ladies Field Hockey Team will be playing at UPEI tonight at 6:30 for the Gold Medal.
The Knitting Club will meet on Thursday this week (instead of your usual Wednesday). Bring your lunches.
The Global Action Club will meet tomorrow at 12:00 noon in Mr. Jamieson’s room.
The Photo Club will meet on Thursday after school in Room M308. Bring your photos – you will be updating the display board.
There will be a meeting at 12:00 noon on Thursday (tomorrow) in Room M102 for any girls in Grades Ten, Eleven, or Twelve who would like to play on the basketball team this season. It’s not important whether you’ve played on a basketball team before or not; just show up if you’re interested.
French Trip students are reminded that magazine/catalogue orders are due on Thursday of this week. October deposits are also due that day.
Students are reminded of the College and University Day planned for tomorrow, from 9:00 to 10:30 am. Grade Twelve students will have access to representatives for the entire time; Grade Eleven students will have access commencing at 10:00 a.m. Please note: students who choose to leave the gym area for morning break must return to B Block classes after break. This will be a good opportunity for students meet with people who can answer your questions about their institutions, the application process, early admission, scholarships, etc.
This Friday, October 30th, UPEI’s Music Department will once again host their annual Haunted House. From 7pm until 11 pm on the night of Friday the 30th, you can come out and start off your Halloween by braving this House of Horrors located at the Steel Building on the UPEI campus! Cost is $4, with hot chocolate for sale beforehand. WARNING: The haunted house is NOT recommended for young children.
