Today’s Events:
- Students should note that for the first time, a cooperative work study credit will be available through Provincial Summer School. Anyone interested should see Mr. Armstrong today as Monday, June 1st, is the deadline to register. The information is posted on the Guidance Office bulletin board.
- Choir students will be participating in the Music Festival this morning and should not be marked as absent.
Message from Pizza Delight: As of Monday, there will be no more student specials at Pizza Delight. If students wish to order off the menu, they will be seated and waited on.
All Men’s and Women’s Softball and Rugby players are required to bring their gear, ready to play on Monday, June 1. Women’s Softball and both Rugby teams will most likely be hosting. The Men’s Softball team will be travelling for your game.
Tickets for the Athletic Banquet will be on sale starting next Monday, June 1. The Athletic Banquet will be held on June 8, starting at 6:00 p.m. All athletes who participated in school sports are urged to attend.
Anyone who is interested in finding out their blood type can go to the Student Lounge on Tuesday, June 4, at lunch break. If you are under the age of seventeen, parental permission is required. Please see Ms. Beaton for a permission form.

Organizers have asked that volunteers are needed to control traffic, help direct the cyclists, etc. If students are interested in helping out, they are asked to give their names to Mr. Armstrong before the end of the day.

- There will be a meeting today of Grads interested in participating in the church service on graduation night. We need readers, singers, musicians, piano/organ players, soloists, etc. The more people, the better it will be! Come to a short meeting in M110 at 11:40.

- Any Grade Twelve student who has been involved with Belfast Minor hockey, and who is continuing his/her education, is asked to apply for a scholarship through the Guidance Office. Applications must be received by May 27th.
- The Scholarship and Prize List has been posted. Students wishing to be considered for school prizes and awards, should check the list, and apply for those awards for which they feel they are eligible. Each prize requires a separate application.
- Oak Acres Children Camp has a Counsellor-in-Training program for 14-16 year olds. Applications are in the Guidance Office and there is a June 8th deadline to apply.

The MRHS Women’s Rugby team played last night against Souris. The girls came out victoriously with a close 5-0 win. Try was scored by Celeece MacIsaac. Girls are reminded of practice today after school.

This goes to all Grade Twelve students and contains important information regarding Prom and Graduation day. Thank you. The MRHS Graduation ceremonies will be held at Iceland Arena on Tuesday, June 23, at 8:00 p.m.
Island Trails Recreational Cycling- Montague: On Thursday evenings. May 21st, & 28th, June 4th, 18th & 25th, there will be a supervised trail ride on the Confederation Trail, departing Montague Marina at 6PM each evening. The rides will travel to Cardigan and Georgetown on alternate weeks and will be accompanied by Island trails volunteer trail officers. The rides will finish back at the Montague Marina. (Duration approximately 2 hours). Cycling helmets are mandatory. All are welcome and there is no fee.

Sylvan is introducing a Math Camp this summer to refresh essential math skills before school starts in the fall. All students who are entering Grade Eight and above are welcome. Camps will be held from Monday to Friday from August 24 to 28 (2:00 to 5:00 p.m. daily). Location of this camp is Sylvan Learning Centre in Charlottetown and the cost is $295. The Montague RCMP need your help. They are looking for a 65cc Kawasaki dirt bike stolen from a young boy in Montague over the weekend. Any information would be appreciated. You can call Crime Stoppers or the Montague RCMP at 838-9300. Your name will not be recorded.

The Vocal Music Spring Concert is on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. All the music will be from the 70’s. Do you like Bohemian Rhapsody or ABBA? Come check this out!! Guest performers “Anomaly” will be performing as well. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.
The MRHS Graduation ceremonies will be held at Iceland Arena on Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at 8:00 p.m.
Eastern Eagles Under 12 Boys tryouts start: Thursday, May 21 at 6:00 p.m. at Montague Consolidated School Fields (rain or shine). Tryouts continue on Saturday, May 23 at 9:00 a.m. at Montague High gym.
Sylvan is introducing a Math Camp this summer to refresh essential math skills before school starts in the fall. All students who are entering Grade Eight and above are welcome. Camps will be held from Monday to Friday from August 24 to 28 (2:00 to 5:00 p.m. daily). Location of this camp is Sylvan Learning Centre in Charlottetown and the cost is $295. Today’s Events:
- Today is the last day to sign up for Encounters With Canada for next year. If you have not already done so, please give your name to Mr. Armstrong as soon as possible.
- Prom tickets will be sold today at 11:55 at the top of the main stairs.
- Fly tyers are meeting today at lunch in Room M403.
- A student has lost a dark green English binder. Anyone finding this binder is asked to please bring it to the office. Thanks.
- Teachers are asked to return your Book Inventory sheets to Mr. Lackie as soon as possible.
There will be rehearsal on Monday at 10:00 a.m. for “Abba Gold” and at 11:00 a.m. for Women’s Ensemble. There will not be a Choir rehearsal on Monday.
Today’s Special in the Cafeteria: Pasta bake, garlic bread and small white milk for $4.00.
The Men’s Softball team will practice at 1:00 p.m. on Monday (at the Cardigan Diamonds).
The Men’s and Women’s Softball teams will be playing on Tuesday at Bluefield. This game is a rescheduled game from last week.
