Happy Birthday to Andrea Abad Milagro and Sarah Mermuys!

Congratulations to Callie Wood who won two trophies and a Gold Medal in the PEI Special Olympic Bowling Championships this past weekend.

Congratulations to the members of the Debate Club who defeated Morell High in two of three debates on Friday afternoon. Debaters included: Rebeccah Hume, Matt Penny, Quiller Sharratt, Magan Kaderly, Donald MacNearney, Cody Annear, David Nabuurs, and Todd MacLeod.

All Tack and Field athletes must meet in the gym at 10:13 this morning.

The following students are asked to see Mr. Killeen at first break this morning: Mallory King, Tyler Morrison, Kim Myers, and Laura MacRae.

The following students are asked to meet in Room M110 at 11:38 this morning: Hannah Lanigan, Terry Nabuurs, Sarah MacPhee, Kayla Publicover, Mamie Bell and Chrissy Crane.

The Women’s Rugby team will have their pre-game in Mr. Killeen’s room.

This Friday, May 30th, is the evening of the Prom. During the day, regular classes continue as usual. Students are expected to be in regular attendance, as prom activities do not begin until 6:30 p.m.

Today’s Special in the Cafeteria: Baked potato with choice of toppings (broccoli, cheese, sour cream, bacon) with a side of pasta, salad or macaroni and cheese, along with the small white milk for $3.75.

Teachers are reminded that book inventory sheets are now due!

The Zone Track Meet has been postponed until Tuesday, June 3rd.

Grade Twelve Students: Tickets for the Prom will be on sale today at the top of the stairs, during lunch break. Tickets are $12.50 each. Each graduate will receive an admission to the dance and two tickets for the reception (for parents, friends, etc.).

Viking Pin applications need to be in to Miss Currie by Monday, June 2nd.

Track and Field permission forms need to be in by June 2nd to Miss Currie. Track training schedule for the week will be posted on the gym bulletin board.

As a result of time constraints between the end of sport seasons and the start of exams, we will be changing from an Athletic Banquet to an Athletic Assembly. This year, we will be honoring our student athletes on June 9th in an assembly during B Block. Parents are invited to attend as well. For more information, contact Miss Charla Currie.

Parents of Europe Trip Students: There will be an important parents’ information meeting on Tuesday, May 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the School Library.

Mme Flynn’s Grade Ten Core French class is having a food drive this week. Boxes will be placed in the home rooms and students/staff are strongly encouraged to make a donation. Imagine the contribution we could make if every person in our school gave one item! Mille mercis l’avance.

Also, this week (on Wednesday) we will be having a bake sale (proceeds will be going to the food bank as well) at the top of the stairs during break and lunch. All items are $1.

A Math and Science Department Meeting is scheduled after school today (3:15 p.m.).

Any members of the Choir, Women’s Ensemble or Vocal class who have not picked up release forms from Ms. Beck for tomorrow must do so this morning.
