On Monday evening, the Kings County Kings Midget AA Girls Hockey Team defeated Summerside in double over-time 1-0. Next weekend, they will represent PEI at the Atlantics in St. Andrews. Congratulations, ladies! Included on this team from our school are Rebeccah Hume, Janelle MacLeod, Jordan Miller, Nicole Mooney, Laura Mooney, Hope Klein, Molly Gotell, Jessica Hicken, Megan Collings, and Larrisa Dingwell.
A representative from Parks Canada will be in the Guidance Office today over the noon hour. Anyone interested in learning about summer employment opportunities with Parks Canada should drop by.
A representative from UPEI will be in the Guidance Office on Friday, March 28th, from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. This meeting is for those who possess an average between 65% and 70% and who have applied or will be applying to UPEI. Information will be available about UPEI’s Transition Program, which might allow students who don’t have a 70% to still attend UPEI on a part-time basis.
March is Nutrition Month; today’s fact is… “Did you know that in the United States, farmers use 1.5 billion pounds of pesticides and that these pesticides end up in about half the food we eat? Only about 1 percent of food shipments in the US are tested for pesticides.”
Ball Hockey today at lunch time: “Gunners” take on “Weak Wristers”. On Thursday, “Staff Hawks” play “Tina Latex” and on Friday, “Lemons” play “Crawford”.
Important reminder to all French Trip Students that Vessey’s orders are due Friday and final payments must be in on Tuesday, April 1st (before this would be great too!!).

Senior Badminton will practice on Thursday at 3:15 while the Juveniles will go at 3:15 today and 5:15 on Friday. Attendance is compulsory.
