Students should note that Mr. Armstrong is not available in the Guidance Department today.

There will be a meeting of all those Grads who were taking part in the Ski Trip to Brookvale in Room M110 right at the lunch break bell. We need all to attend a.s.a.p. See you there!

The Hypnotist performance is tonight at 7:00 p.m. The doors close at 6:50 p.m. Tickets will be on sale today at lunch for $7.00, and will be sold at the door for $8.00.

There will be a short Student Council meeting today at 11:45 in Mr. Killeen’s room.

The Debate Club will meet today after school. This is a very important meeting. All members are asked to please attend.

The Men’s Basketball team fell short in overtime yesterday to Westisle 70 - 64. Top scorers for the men were Nick Melnyk with 23 points, Eric Hameline with 20, and Damon Ansems with 15. Both the Women’s and Men’s team travel to Souris today.

Photo Club will meet this week on Thursday after school. Bring your photo prints to share and display. Can’t make it Thursday? Meet in Ms. Lowther’s room on Friday at lunch to share.

Band Students: Sectionals today for Euphonium (Quintan Dawson) and Concert Band after school today.

C. J. Buell and Nick Jamieson are asked to please see Mrs. Killeen in the Library today.

From the Guidance Department:

  • Students seeking scholarships from universities, should note that the Harison McCain Foundation provides scholarships at most universities in Atlantic Canada. Most also have a March 1st deadline. You are urged to download an application, or in the case of UPEI and Dalhousie, applications are in the Guidance Office. Please also note that there are other UPEI scholarships also available, in the Guidance Office.
  • A representative from Holland College will be here on Thursday, February 21st, over the noon hour. She will be accepting applications to the College from those who have not yet applied. Those intending to leave their applications will need to leave the application fee and a resume as well.

Abegweit Driving School Limited is planning another Driver Education Program at M.R.H.S. beginning on March 10. Please check their website at drivepei.com for more information.
