The students in Career Futures and Hospitality and Tourism were asked to go to the main student entrance directly following announcements. Teachers, these students are attending a job symposium at Holland College this morning. These students are scheduled to be back by first class this afternoon.
Congratulations to our Men’s Basketball Team who won the Basketball Tournament held at Bluefield High School this past weekend.
High School Musical: All students involved in the musical must meet today at 12:00 noon sharp for an important meeting in Room W206 (Mr. Nicholson’s room). This includes anyone who wants to work behind the stage as a crew member. costume person, make-up artist, etc. Bring your lunches.
The Debate Club will meet tomorrow after school. This is a very important meeting. All members are asked to please attend.

- Students seeking scholarships from universities, should note that the Harison McCain Foundation provides scholarships at most universities in Atlantic Canada. Most also have a March 1st deadline. You are urged to download an application, or in the case of UPEI and Dalhousie, applications are in the Guidance Office. Please also note that there are other UPEI scholarships also available, in the Guidance Office.
- A representative from Holland College will be here on Thursday, February 21st, over the noon hour. She will be accepting applications to the College from those who have not yet applied. Those intending to leave their applications will need to leave the application fee and a resume as well.
In celebration of 100th Anniversary of Anne of Green Gables, Penguin Group Books have launched a national letter writing contest inviting all Canadians of all ages to write Anne Shirley, telling her (in 500 words or less) what she means to them. For more information and help, please see Mrs. Killeen any time. Contest runs until April 30. Prizes include $2,500 travel voucher, books, coins and more!
