Happy Birthday today to Damon Ansems and Nathan Gardiner!

We extend a welcome today to guest teachers Ms. Paula Johnston, Ms. Amanda Purchase, Ms. Denise McGillivray, Mr. Neil Anderson, Mr. Joe Purchase, and Mr. Brian Somers.

Grads should note that Heckbert’s Studio will be in the Cafeteria at lunch time tomorrow, December 11, to pass out grad photos. Please check the list on the grad bulletin board of money still owing.

The Administration would like to thank Mr. Killeen, Ms. Nabuurs and the Student Council for organizing an excellent Christmas Dance. Also thanks to the many chaperones who attended, and to all the students for their cooperation in making the Christmas Dance such a success this year!

Teachers should note that Department Meetings are scheduled today at 3:15 p.m.

Today’s Special in the Cafeteria is Baked Potato with choice of toppings (broccoli, sour cream, bacon bits, cheese), side salad or pasta with a small white milk for $3.25.

Congratulations to Tyler Dockendorff who has been awarded the Canadian Parent’s for French Bursary to attend Encounters With Canada in Ottawa this winter. Félicitations, Tyler!

There is a SADD meeting today in M303.

Members of the Women’s Basketball team play their first home game tonight at 5:30 against Morell. Come out and support the team.

Women’s Basketball: Ladies, your track suits are in. Please have payments in to Ms. Garland as soon as possible. Also, please note the change in game time. Girls should be ready at 4:45 p.m.

The Student Council would like to thank all staff who chaperoned the dance on Friday. Thank you very much.

Men’s Basketball team will practice today from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m.

The Athletic Council will meet today at 11:41 a.m.

Congratulations to the Choir on a job well done at the Children’s Wish Foundation Gala Concert on Saturday night and at the King’s Playhouse in Georgetown last night! Thanks, students!

The MRHS Music Department Christmas Concert is this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students/seniors.

Band Students: No sectionals for Trumpets today at lunch or after school. There will be Concert Band rehearsal on Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. A reminder that both the Concert Band and Jazz Band are performing at lunch time for the staff banquet this week on Thursday, as well as Thursday evening for your families and friends at 7:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria.

  • SWITCH meets Tuesday at 12:00 noon.
  • French Conversation Club is mercredi midi.
  • Readers’ Circle will finally discuss this Thursday at 12:00 noon.
  • All outstanding money for French trip should be given to Mme Flynn today!
