Student Council: There will be a Student Council Executive meeting at lunch today in M307, and a full council meeting after school.
Grade 12 Students: Representatives from UNB will be at the Delta Hotel in Charlottetown on Wednesday, November 21, at 7:00 p.m. This will be a good opportunity to find out about UNB’s programs, residences, scholarships, etc. See Mr. Armstrong for details.
Grade 12 Students interested in the Nursing Program at UPEI should speak to Mandy Acorn or Kaitlyn Jenkins today. They will be in the Cafeteria over the noon hour attending the Health Fair.
Today is the deadline for students to sign up for the STRIVE program. See Mr. Armstrong if you are interested.
Anyone looking for part-time work raking leaves and shovelling snow, when required, should see Mr. Armstrong for details.
The Obesity Awareness Fair will be held all day today in the Cafeteria. Go and see the displays the HAL classes created.
CHOICES: If you are interested in exploring your education and career opportunities, check out the CHOICES Workshop that is being offered through the Guidance office. Sign up this week outside the Guidance office or speak with Ms. Beck Colwill for more information.
Today’s special in the cafeteria is a Taco Bake with a choice side and a small white milk for $4.00. Also, in the cafeteria, when you purchase a bottle of Aquafina water, put your name on a ballot to win one of three decks of “NHL Original Six” playing cards. Prizes will be drawn on Nov. 21, Nov. 28, and Dec. 5. Cafeteria will also be having a grand prize draw on Friday, Dec. 7, for a “NHL Greatest Moments” DVD.
Ms. Malone’s extra help will be today after school, not on Wednesday.
Student-Teacher Hockey Game is scheduled for tonight at 7:45 p.m. - Iceland Arena. Tickets will be on sale at the top of the stairs during lunch break today - $5.00, and also be on sale at the door.
Yearbook Committee: There will be a Yearbook Workshop on Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Students will be learning how to make pages!! Food will be served at the end of the workshop.
Auditions for High School Musical: Auditions for this year’s musical, which will be: High School Musical, will be held after school on Wednesday, November 28; Thursday, November 29; and Wednesday, December 5. All students interested in performing in the musical must also attend a rehearsal after school on Thursday, December 6. A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board outside Mr. Nicholson’s home room. Application sheets will be in an envelope beside the sign-up sheet for all students interested in being involved in any aspect of the musical, which includes set design, costumes, stage crew and so on. If you have any questions, please ask Ms. Beck or Mr. Nicholson.
