Today is Fit Friday - No Fries! The Special in the Cafeteria is a pasta bake (with meat or vegetarian sauce) and a garlic bread stick, with a small white milk for $4.00.
Other Cafeteria Notes: The Express Lane will not be open today. Also, starting today, the Cafeteria will not be open during A Block. This time is necessary in order for the crew to ready for the lunch break rush.
Women’s Ensemble: There will be auditions for Women’s Ensemble solos at 11:38 today.
Band: There will be Trombone sectionals today at 11:50 in the music room and Trumpet sectionals on Monday.
Christmas Dance tickets will be on sale at the top of the stairs starting today until Thursday of next week. For today and Monday, the cost of a ticket is $9 or reduced to $7 if you bring in a Food Bank donation with your money. Remember that Student Fees must be paid to purchase a dance ticket. The theme for this year’s Christmas dance is Masquerade.

Peer Helpers: All members of Ms. Beck’s Peer Help home room should see her this morning following the announcements.
Some Home Room teachers have been questioning who gets the handout from Public Health this morning. All students who do not have a check mark or question mark beside their name have already received the immunization, so only those students with a mark beside their name get the MMR information.
Congratulations to Terri McGarry, Megan Kaderly, and Quiller Sharratt who represented PEI at the Canadian Student Debating Seminar in British Columbia. As a delegation, they performed skillfully and with spirit. Further congrats to Quiller who won the presitgious Tom Lawson Award for contributing the most spirit to the seminar as voted by his peers.
There will be a SADD meeting today at 12:00 noon in Ms. Ward’s room (M303).
Choir: There will be a Choir Executive meeting today right after Women’s Ensemble at 12:00. Everyone be there!
The Women’s Basketball Team played a tough first game last night against Colonel Gray. Final score was 43-39 for the Gray. Crashing the boards for Montague were Alana Murphy, Becca Walsh and Katelyn Powers. The ladies will travel to play TOSH on Monday.
Congratulations to all Blood For Life members for an excellent turnout last evening, especially to donators David Nabuurs, Megan Kaderly, Barb Shephard, Bobby MacSweeney, Terri Nabuurs, Brittany MacEachern, Adam Ross and also a special thanks to Shelley Nabburs and Rory Hart!

Band Students: There are sectional rehearsals today; Saxophones and Trumpets at 11:50 a.m. in the music room. Concert Band rehearsal starts at 3:15 p.m.

In preparation for the Christmas Dance, students who have not yet paid their student fees should take care of this as soon as possible. Students fees may be paid at the office.
Heckbert’s Grad Photos: Heckbert’s will be on the stage in the Cafeteria at lunch time on Tuesday, December 11, to deliver grad photos. Please check the grad bulletin board to see any money owing before this date.
Attention Grads: If you had your grad photo taken at “Light and Vision Photography” (Louise Vessey), please give your name to Ms. McLane by tomorrow (Wednesday).
The Matt Dunigan Football Quarterback Camp will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Colonel Gray High School. Cost to enter the camp is $10 and you can register with Glen Flood at the Football PEI Office at the House of Sport. Mr. Flood’s number is 368-4262 or e-mail him at gflood@sportpei.pe.ca. The camp, which is open to mail and female athletes, runs from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. for ages 10-14 and from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. for 15-19 year olds.
The boy’s washroom near the computer lab will be closed all day today. It is to be used by the childcare class.

Congratulations to April Flaglor for representing our school in the Honor’s Band this weekend. Sixty-seven (67) students from across PEI gathered together in Charlottetown to rehearse with a conductor from Nova Scotia. They performed six challenging pieces on Sunday afternoon at the Steele Recital Hall at UPEI. Way to go, April!
The Student Council is selling school clothing this week during lunch breaks. Those interested should go to Ms. Drane’s sewing lab to make their orders. Items for sale include: zip-up hoodies, hoodies, sweat pants, long and short sleeve shirts, shorts, and golf shirts.

Audition week is finally here! Those auditioning for The High School Musical should check the sheets posted outside Mr. Nicholson’s room. Please be on time. Auditions will be held in W206 (Mr. Nicholson’s room).
Knitters should bring their new skeins (pronounced “skanes”) of mohair, alpaca, merino, silk, angora or just plain old wool to Mme Flynn’s room at 11:38 today. You’ll knit and discuss llama behavior!
Band Students: Trumpet sectional will be held on Wednesday this week with the Saxophones. Trombones will rehearse on Friday. All sectionals go from 11:50 am to 12:20 pm.
Concert Band will practice on Wednesday and Jazz Band on Thursday at 3:15 after school. All members are asked to attend as you only have another two weeks before your concert on December 13.
Reader’s Circle will meet briefly on Friday at 12:00 this week to switch books or discuss.

The 3rd Annual Student-Teacher Hockey Game was a great event! The game last evening was well attended with over 200 tickets sold. Teachers annihilated the students with a final score of 5 - 2. Philip MacDonald scored two goals and Jen Power, Charla Currie and Jamie Lowther all scored a goal as well. For the student team… Brittany MacEachern and Jesse MacDonald scored a goal. Thanks to Ms. MacLeod and her Entrepreneurship Class and all who helped make it a wonderful evening!

Student Council: There will be a Student Council Executive meeting at lunch today in M307, and a full council meeting after school.
Grade 12 Students: Representatives from UNB will be at the Delta Hotel in Charlottetown on Wednesday, November 21, at 7:00 p.m. This will be a good opportunity to find out about UNB’s programs, residences, scholarships, etc. See Mr. Armstrong for details.
Grade 12 Students interested in the Nursing Program at UPEI should speak to Mandy Acorn or Kaitlyn Jenkins today. They will be in the Cafeteria over the noon hour attending the Health Fair.
