The Women’s Field Hockey team had a great game last night, winning 4-0 against Bluefield in their semi-final game. This means they are going on to the championships! There is a big re-match tomorrow in the Championship Game against Charlottetown Rural. Game is at UPEI on Wednesday at 5:00; all are welcome to come and cheer on your Viking Field Hockey players. Congratulations, girls.
There is a Student Council Meeting after school at 3:15 p.m.
The Men’s Volleyball Team will practice today at 3:45 p.m.
Attention Students Interested in Free Books: This week, in honor of school library week, for every book you borrow from the Library, you get a ballot for a chance to win a free book. Draws and winners will be announced at the end of every day (except Friday when there is no school).
The Women’s Soccer Team will be playing Charlottetown Rural in their quarter final game today. The game is set to start at 3:30 p.m. The van will be leaving from the front of the school at 2:00 sharp. All girls are to get changed directly following afternoon break and they will not attend their D Block classes. However, all girls are expected to see their D Block teachers in the morning or at lunch to pick up any missed classwork or assignments.
French Conversation Club will meet on Wednesday at 11:38 a.m.
Orders will be taken for Yearbooks from Thursday, October 25, to Friday, November 2, 2007, and books will arrive in June. You have to pre-order/pre-pay for the books and note that they will also be on sale at Parent-Teacher Interviews.
Attention Band Students: Concert Band and Jazz Band will be cancelled this week due to honor’s band and parent-teacher interviews. Sectionals will begin again next week.
Men’s Basketball try-outs will be held on Wednesday, October 24, from 3:15 - 5:00 p.m.
Retakes for under-grad photos will be taken on Wednesday, October 24th.
There will be a SWITCH meeting at 12:00 on Thursday in M301.
In honour of school library day, Monday’s winner of the book, “Gossip Girl” is Amanda O’Connor and the winner of the book “Million Dollar Baby” is Devan Aitken. Amanda and Devan, please see Mrs. Killeen in the library ASAP for your free book, if you haven’t done so already. Students: be sure to visit the library, sign out a book for a ballot, for a chance to win a free book or gift card all this week!
